*Images flash to show various scenes from Marvel films, and title covers from Percy Jackson books*

Superhero stories and movies...you've read them, you've seen them dozens of times. Most often, a group of individuals are chosen or they come together to defeat newly introduced villains from nowhere. 

*Scene cuts to camera moving over a green hill as the sun sets behind the mountains. Streaks of red lightning flash across a dark sky in the next clip.*

But now...prepare to have the same story told...in a different kind of way...

*Cut to a clip of a blond-haired high school boy with a light blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers, carrying a pile of books down a crowded hallway*

Meet Luke Mraw

*Luke flirts with Bethany, a brown-haired girl wearing a pink blouse, a long black skirt and silver necklaces

"Hey Beth. Are you an adorable puppy? Because your bark is as good as your bite."

"Excuse me?" she scoffs. "Did you just call me a bitch?"
"No, no no!" he says, waving his hands in apology. "I'm saying you are pretty and adorable and..."

"Go find your own girlfriend," she says, slamming the door to her locker and stomping off.

"Why am I so stupid..."

He lives the life of an ordinary teenage boy in the U.S.

*cut to scene at his house in the living room

"Abigail!" Luke calls to his sister. "What did I tell you about watching My Little Pony during the same time as when I'm supposed to watch Batman!"

A younger girl with blonde hair looks up at him. "You didn't say anything of the sort. You're supposed to do your homework."

But he soon discovers new powers...

*A baby and a mother are trapped inside a burning apartment. Luke gets too close to the building and his sweatshirt catches fire. He freaks out and rubs his arm against the grass. To his shock, he finds a hole in his sweater, but feels no pain in his arm.
"Luke, stop!" calls his father. His mother looks on in horror.
In a burst of courage, he runs into the building, coughing up smoke and rescues the mother and baby.

*Another scene, Luke is ice skating with his little sister. The ice cracks and they both fall in.

"Abby!" he calls. He scoops her up and places her safely on the surface. Luke is swept away by a current but is later found alive and not freezing to death.

"Heat and cold don't affect me!" Luke exclaims. He dances while music plays and he puts both hands into a pot of boiling water. "This is amazing!" His little sister screams.

But when it comes to physical combat...

*In the gym at a boxing match

"Alright, princess. You think you can take me on? Let's find out..."

Beth pins him down and kicks him in the nuts hard. The pain causes him to pass out.

Coach and his sister exchanges looks.

*Elsewhere in Asia

Meet Naiomi


*Scene shows a black-haired woman in her thirties, taking care of her kids.

She can speak and write in any language

*Speaks fluent Spanish, French, and German to a narrow-minded neighbor.

"What are you saying, wrench?" he asked.

Naiomi shrugs."Oh sorry, that was me saying, you're a douche in several languages."

But when it comes to learning math...

"Ok, how does this cash register work again? I still don't understand the PANDMAS method we learned in high school."


Elsewhere in England...

A dark-skinned boy practices pushups and running in a park. He has curly hair and a beard, and goes to college.

Meet Jackson...

He can mimic anyone, including his friends

Perfectly mimics a news anchor, Golum from Lord of the Rings, and the chipmunks from a movie

But when it comes to public speaking...

Jackson stutters, "Hey everyone. This is my presentation on quantum psychics. But you...you knew that, anyway. So anyway..."

His girlfriend facepalms in the audience next to Jackson's brother.


Soon, these friends are called by the forces of the universe and earth...

Deities speak to the shocked group. "Your powers...aren't what we were expecting. No strength, lightning, or anything. But you'll have to defeat villains too."
